Node International is a Managing General Agent dedicated to a digital, cyber and technology insurance solution, looking for exceptional people to come on board. 

Full Stack PHP Developer
Salary: up to 40k
Experience 2 year+
Location: Based in Nottingham, UK
Role
Node International is heavily invested in it online software, and are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent front and back-end programming skills who is also a creative problem solver. 
This role will see you working directly with the senior developer, acting as both in both a development role and advisory position. You will be working predominately will PHP but you will also gain exposure to a diverse tech stack that includes but is not limited to: JavaScript, GO(Lang), Node.js, CSS, HTML, XML, cloud services, Rest APIs.
At Node International we run a number of solutions which touch on all areas of our business. This includes a B2B insurance underwriting system and a B2B and B2C cyber security product. Responsibilities would include the upkeep and creating of new functionality on existing projects, for the right candidate ownership of new projects may be granted.
 
Although this role will be remote until COVID restrictions reduce, you will be required to be present in our Nottingham office.
Key responsibilities

The core responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating effective and efficient code to create new product and product feature as well as refactoring existing and legacy code.
  • Implement and design code for both the front and back end parts of the applications
  • Work with existing stake holders to define software requirements that are fit for purpose and always consider the user experience.
  • Building the infrastructure that quickly identifies and surfaces production issues that impact their users
Essential Skills
  • Strong understanding and practical application of PHP
  • HTML5, CSS/SASS
  • Good client JavaScript skills, framework or vanilla
  • Willingness to learn other programming languages
  • Good work ethic and time management
